About Sugata-ishi

Sugata-ishi is one of categories of Suiseki.

Sacred image, (Buddhist) priest, human and animal shape are common. However, animation character is also seen recently.

Especially Sugata-ishi, it is not allowed to process by hand such as shaving, because it is sculpture. Suiseki is to find nature's miracle in stone.

Sugata-ishi is reminiscent of something but it is not preferred if the shape is exactly it is. Ruther, a suggestive one is preferred.

If you see something at a glance, but it is gone if you see it carefully. If it is curious, it is good. Again, to see nature's miracle in stone, it is Suiseki.
