About Dan-seki
Dan-seki is one of categories of Suiseki, having more than two flat plate which is reminiscent of precipitous cliffs.
In Japanese, "Dan" means steps and "Seki" means stone.
By the way, it is Doha if flat plate is just one.
The important point of Dan-seki is the balance among upper flat plate, precipitous cliff, and lower flat plate which is reminiscent of vast land, However, good Dan-seki is very rare.
The following photo is king of image of the scene suggested by Dan-seki.
Unfortunately, I have no good Dan-seki, so would like to use photos from 緋山酔恭の山水石美術館.
